Independent, clinical, and built around clear answers
Liberty Assessments is an independent provider of clinical assessments based in Kingston upon Hull, working across Yorkshire, the Humber and nationally. We serve three very different groups — adults seeking ADHD assessment, employers who need occupational health expertise, and Local Authorities commissioning Best Interest Assessments — and one principle runs through all of it: an honest, well-evidenced clinical answer, delivered when we said it would be.
Why "Liberty"
The name comes from our Best Interest Assessment work, where liberty is literally what’s at stake — but it describes everything we do. An accurate ADHD diagnosis frees someone from decades of self-blame. Good occupational health frees an employee to come back to work safely, and frees a manager from impossible decisions. A rigorous, person-centred DoLS assessment protects the freedom of people who can’t argue for it themselves. Clear clinical answers set people free to get on with their lives. That’s the job.
Our values
Independence
We hold no interests in the outcomes of our assessments — no ties to care providers, no diagnosis targets, no pressure in any direction. Around one in five of our ADHD assessments concludes ADHD isn’t the answer, and we consider that figure a mark of quality.
Rigour
NICE-aligned processes, validated clinical tools, qualified and registered clinicians, and quality assurance on every report that leaves us. Rigour is what makes our reports carry weight with GPs, employers, universities, the DWP and supervisory bodies.
Respect
Whether the person in front of us is a self-funding adult, an anxious employee, or someone who cannot speak for themselves, they are treated as the expert in their own life. Plain English, accessible formats and unhurried time are how respect looks in practice.
Transparency
Prices published before you book. Honest reports even when they’re not the hoped-for answer. Turnaround commitments we track and honour. If something goes wrong, we say so and fix it.
