Your route through care

ADHD Treatment Pathway

From first enquiry to long-term stability, the pathway below shows every stage of care. Following diagnosis, treatment is provided in partnership with independent psychiatrists experienced in adult ADHD.

Treatment options

Treatment is always a choice, never an assumption. For many adults, stimulant or non-stimulant medication brings substantial improvement; others prefer coaching, psychoeducation and environmental changes, or a combination. Our partner psychiatrists discuss options, benefits and side-effects so you can decide with full information.

Titration and monitoring

If you choose medication, doses are adjusted gradually with regular reviews of response, blood pressure, pulse and wellbeing. Titration typically takes 8–12 weeks and continues until treatment is stable and working.

Shared care with your GP

Once you are stable on treatment, we request a shared care agreement with your NHS GP so routine prescriptions can be issued locally at NHS cost. Shared care is at the GP practice’s discretion; where a practice declines, ongoing private prescribing remains available and we will always explain your options and costs before you commit.
